    OZ Museum

    Experience the World of OZ at the famous OZ Museum downtown. It showcases over over 2,000 artifacts dating from 1900 to present day. You will find detailed historical facts about the movie and actors, OZ memorabilia, and so much more! (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

    Enjoy dinner at Barleycorn's Bar & Deli where they have something for everyone. Their slow-cooked meats are a local favorite, and their cole slaw and potato salad options are great, too! (10:00 AM to 8:00 PM)

    Get a Front Row Seat

    Main Street

    The Fourth of July parade doesn’t kick off until 6:00 PM, but make your way to Main Street early to save your seat. It fills up fast! (5:30 PM to 6:00 PM)

    Insider tip: Try and grab a seat on the West side of the street so you’re in the shade.

    If you’re coming to the Wamego Fourth of July celebration, you can’t miss their parade! This year marks 145 years of classic cars, area floats and incredible live music. Plus, who doesn’t like a little free candy? (6:00 PM to 7:00 PM)

    Make your way to the fireworks viewing area to grab a seat and enjoy the classic rock band DEPARTURE pre-show concert while you wait. Concessions are still open, so grab a funnel cake or slushie on your way to enjoy while you walk! (7:30 PM to 9:30 PM)

Yes! The #1 ranked fireworks show in Kansas is funded 100% by donors and volunteers so that you can enjoy the show for FREE!

Where is the best place to park?

Free Public Parking is available in marked lots adjacent to the Wamego Recreation Complex and along Balderson Blvd. Side street parking is permitted unless otherwise marked. No parking allowed along shoulders of Highway 24. Remote shuttle parking is located at:

-          Wamego High School Football Field Shuttle Parking-RED SHUTTLE parking (Corner of Highway 24 and Columbian Road)

-          Wamego Middle School Shuttle Parking-GREEN SHUTTLE parking (Physical Address: 1701 Kaw Valley Road, Wamego, KS, 66547)

Donor Parking is available to those who have made a contribution for a parking pass. The donor lot is within the Wamego Recreation Complex. To learn more or to purchase a donor parking space, go to wamegofireworks.com.
